ANTOLA PARK

Nestled in the heart of the Ligurian Apennine, the pristine Antola Park reaches into the Trebbia and Scrivia valleys through a mountain landscape extremely rich in nature and wildlife. Set at the crossroad of several trails and ancient mule tracks, Mount Antola (1597 meters above sea level) is the center of a mountain range, which starts from its top and borders 4 different regions (Liguria, Piedmont, Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna). This majestic landscape opens onto fabulous views of the Ligurian Sea, the Alps, and local landmarks such as Lake Brugneto (the biggest lake in Liguria) and Rocche del Reopasso. Another unmissable sight is Castello della Pietra, a very peculiar fortress carved in steep rocks and dominating the Vobbia Valley below. Of course a visit to the Antola Valleys would not be complete without tasting local products (such as porcini mushrooms, chestnuts, honey and delicious salame) and traditional recipes. Given the nature of this area, tourist accommodation follows the philosophy of “ospitalità diffusa”, meaning you won’t find large resorts or hotels but mainly local family-run bed & breakfasts, farm stays and other accommodation types, which perfectly match the spirit of these unspoilt places.
