Easy access by car, fast and frequent bus and train services
The airport has direct links to the local road and national motorway systems for rapid connections to both Rivieras, Piedmont, Lombardy and the tunnels through the Alps.
From the Genoa-airport motorway toll barrier, Nice is 210 km, Sanremo 140 km, Turin 170 km, Milan 140 km, La Spezia 105 km and Florence 225 km.
The motorway access road terminates at the roundabout inside the airport perimeter.
To the west is the marina and cargo area, to the east the fuelling area and straight ahead the airport car park and passenger terminal.
VOLABUS
Volabus is the fast connection service between Genova airport and the city center. In about 30 minutes you can reach the "Cristoforo Colombo" airport passing through the main railway stations and the city center. The service does not involve booking fees, luggage transport is free of charge.
A great trip with a single ticket
METDaily is the new ticket valid 24 hours from the date chosen and throughout all the AMT network (Volabus, Navebus and Trenitalia not included), the ticket costs 10 euro.
From Varazze to Levanto, crossing Genova, Campo Ligure, Santo Stefano d’Aveto, without forgetting Portofino… all the metropolitan city with a single ticket.

- 10 euro – valid for 24h on all AMT vehicles
- Free of charge for children up to 1,15 m height
Tickets can be used on the entire urban and provincial AMT network
Where to buy your ticket:
- directly on board (VISA/ILA cashless point on board);
- at the airport at the AMT automatic ticket machine;
- at the AMT ticket offices;
- at the AMT automatic ticket machines (including the Brignole and Principe railway stations);
- at some authorized outlets near the stops and terminus;
- on line or via the AMT APP.
AIRLINK: TRAIN + BUS
Genoa Airport is linked to Sestri Ponente Aeroporto railway station by the Airlink shuttle service. Airlink operates one ride every 15 minutes from 6.00 am to 10 pm. You can use the Airlink service with a normal bus ticket (2,00 euros) or the bus+train local ticket (2,20 euros), and with a tourist ticket.
If your origin/destination is outside Genova, you can purchase one single train ticket to/from “Genova Aeroporto Cristoforo Colombo” station on https://www.trenitalia.com/. You can buy your train ticket just after the landing, at the arrival hall.
Airlink Bus stop is located outside the Arrivals area (ground floor). From Sestri Ponente Aeroporto railway station it's possibile to reach the main cities in Liguria and in the nearby regions.
