Starting from October 19th, passengers arriving at Genoa Airport on flights from the Netherlands and the United Kingdom may require to be tested for Covid-19. The service is free. Upon arrival at the airport, passengers who decide to take sdvantage of this service will receive all the practical information and indications on how to reach the test area (alongside the passenger terminal).
MANDATORY COVID-19 TESTS FOR TRAVELERS ARRIVING FROM THE FOLLOWING UE COUNTRIES
The following preventive measures apply to persons entering in Italya and who, in the previous fourteen days, have stayed or transited through Belgium, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and Spain:
a) obligation to present to the airline before boarding (and to anyone appointed to carry out the checks) of the attestation of having undergone, in the 72 hours prior to entry into the national territory, to a molecular or antigen Covid-19 test, carried out by means of tampon and with negative result;
b) obligation to undergo a molecular or antigen test upon arrival at the airport, where possible, or within 48 hours after entering in Italy; while waiting to undergo the test at the local health company of reference and until the negative result is received, people are subjected to fiduciary isolation at their home. At the moment the tampon service is not available at our airport.
People who have stayed in the countries listed above in the previous fourteen days are obliged to immediately communicate their entry in Italy to the national territory to the Prevention Department of the competent local health authority.
In the event of the onset of COVID-19 symptoms, the obligation remains for anyone to report this situation promptly to the Health Authority through the specially dedicated telephone numbers and to undergo, pending the consequent determinations of the Health Authority, to isolation.
